Just Got My New Sunfire $550
Friday, April 24, 2009 9:52 AM
Just picked it up yesterday after a long long 8 hour drive in a reg cab GMC Sierra (Uncomforable as H3LL) anyways it wont start because it needs a head gasket but we are unsure how much fluid got in the bottom end so i am just going to put a new engine seeing as the original has 227***km, i found a engine with 180000km for $250 so i am going to put that in instead. It needs some work on the body kit but atleast there is no rust. This cost me $550 and i just found out that there is 2 JL Audio 6x9s in the rear so that is a SCORE!

Nice score. Throw some paint on the seat brackets though. They stick out to me like a sore thumb

Nice find for $550. Should ditch the tractor trailer turn markers. LOL. Thats what they look like in that pic.

Is it the ground or is it sitting unlevel?

Nice find IMO I say ditch the entire body kit or at least the front bumper... get a shift knob meant for a car, LED gauges (id suggest Glowshift), rims, steering wheel, and a real muffler like magnaflow or flowmaster, im not a big fan of coffee cans. That's just me. Not trying to bash, i say good deal. With a new motor all the cosmetic stuff can be ripped off and fixed. Just a suggestion make shure he didnt cut those springs... i bought a car one time with cut springs, luckily i seen them when i got home and nothing bad happened. GOOD LUCK!

No, we took it out and are trying to out the new one we got for $250 but we cant get it to go into the tranny. I am most likely going to get a 00 - 02 GT front and back bumpers but would rather get a whole parts car so i can steal some parts from it.

Even though I am not a fan, it does look much better on a Fire opposed to on a Cavy.

Thanks, it has a 2200, the girl that bought it father died so she couldnt fix it herself so she wanted to get rid of it, the clutch on it had to be replaced soon so i got lucky and the engine i got had a clutch on it that was in good shape so another SCORE!!
