very nice ive been thinking about doing this how much time was involved with yours?
Being 2k+ it's a lot more involved with a 95-99. A 95-99 all you do is pull sockets and replace bulbs. 2k+ you have to do all the above work.
Props, came out great for sure. Window switch amazes me.
Best part of that is definitely the window switch... Everything looks else looks awesome too
lovin it cant wait to see it in person

Thanks, I would say we probably had 3 hours total into the cluster and the window switch. The first time was alot more time consuming figuring out how to mount the LEDs and resistors so they would work right and sit low enough. The switch was the most consuming because once you get the switch apart you have to desolder the two levels of the switch to change the bulb and we put in two so we had to figure out how to position them right.

Thanks Joe, the switch is so bright at night I'm glad I have my arm covering it most of the time. The white isnt as bright as the blue was, especially with the switch covers off.

Come to the bbq and you can see.

Actually this is number 2 for me which makes me no virgin. But hey I'm sure it took some time for you to get the sockets out of your cluster and put new bulbs in. Douche!! J/K
Nick Marshall wrote:very nice! how did you go about gettig it done? im interested in putting in diferent colored leds in my cluster too..
As far as what? Pulling the dash, taking apart the cluster, soldering in the LEDS?
I'm going to have to take my 98 window switch apart now...
Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.

I have everything else in cool white LED and I need to finish it all up!
Sure, you got a spare cluster and switch to put in while we do it? Or would you come down for the day?

What color do you wanna do? I am still trying to figure out shipping, LED, resistor, and related costs. If I know what color it will help me in the price. Oh and just to let everyone know, my cluster have white LEDs, the tint of the face makes it look blue.
Very nice work. I don't have it in me to pull one of those clusters apart lol

very clean i love the final product how did you change the odo led?

That came out good. Did it use bulbs or LED's before and does the dimmer still work?

Its a pain in the ass to do. You have to take the cover off the odometewr then you have to bend it out of the way, or desolder the whole odometer.

I used LEDs before but they were 45 degree viewing angle LEDs and they hot spotted bad. So I got the 360 degree diffused LEDs. And yes the dimmer still works.
