Well I finally started working on the sunfire. I was going to start this a while back but had to fix some mechanicals first. I replaced a cracked lower radiator hose, TCC Solenoid in the trans, water pump and thermostat. Now shes running good as new. Today I started on the body. The passenger fender was pushed in where it meets the bumper so I straightened that out. sanded down the webbed front bumper, pulled/filled all the dings and dents and shaved the wing. Tommorrow, if the weather holds, im going to start on the hood. Going to weld on some evil eye lids.
Some Pics: Its gets worse before it gets better.
The moon wing is gone now. A friend of mine plugged the holes and welded them shut. I think it looks 100x better without it.
Heres a quick PS Spalattero did for me. Thats what it should look like when its done. minus the wing of course.
After Paint its getting dropped 1.5"on tokico struts and springs. New 17" bronze wheels and tinted tails. Just trying to keep it clean and tastefull. No major engine mods. Maybe some bolt ons but thats it. Im not going to spend to much time and money on it. Just want a clean reliable car. The girlfriend will be driving it 60% of the time so I dont want to go crazy on it.
I want to do a 2003+ sunfire rear coversion aswell. I have the tailights and rear bumper but Im having a hard time finding the trunk panel. If anyone has one they would like to sell, please PM me.
Your opinions are welcome.

It would be fun to take pics of our cars together when you're done! Good job so far!

Thanks. Yea we should def take some pics.
I really didnt get much done today. Just sanded some of the panels a bit more. Tomorrow Im going to start on the hood and shave the antenna. Just need to get to the parts yard tomorrow and find another hood to work on.
Better race to get that paint on before all of mine falls off!
That 03 filler panel is a pricey piece.
Car looks great!
Thanks, Yea Im holding off on the rear for know. Im actually liking the way it looks tinted and everything.
Shoulda have lightly tinted the reverse lights too as well as your side markers front and rear.
, and sucks that you didn't get the evil eyes on ahead of time but its looking good keep it up

Im planning on doing the side markers tonite aswell as the reverse lights. Didnt have enough time to do it all last nite. As for the hood. I borrowed a welder from a friend today so I can finish it.
Next thing on the list is the suspension. I have the tokico spring and shock kit. 1.5" Drop.
I really dig that vinyl.. never would I say its carbon fiber but it looks sweet.

Hotness. I love the vinyl, covering the inserts with it looks really good.
And the rear looks good just like it is, I wouldn't change a thing with that. Can't wait to see the finished Z wheels on it.
Looks like it turned out pretty damn nice. I like what your doing with the interior.
guess i dont need to say it...
