Why do you use the e-brake when you have an automatic and your parked on level ground?
This has always puzzled me why people do this.
i love the ss seats how hard was it to do the rear seats and did you have to make brackets for the front?

^^ some poeple just get in the habit.
For example, in order to get your G2 or G class liscence in Ontario, it is a requirement to engage your ebrake when you put the car in park.
the seats look great in the car.
E-brake engagement could also be explained as he has a screen and maybe it's wired correctly.
i've always wondered how the 'SS' emblems are attached to the seat?

Scott : No reason other than habit.
Fluff: Thanks. The Cobalt rears are 60/40 only its 60/40 opposite of the Cav. Had to cut and reweld the pivot point in the rear bracing to line up with the new split. Fronts were a beotch. Had to make brackets and cut the inner legs and move them in. There is an unfinished how-to in this forum under Cobalt Seats Done Right
Krzy: Thanks
Joe: The screen isnt wired 'correctly' per say. By correctly I assume you mean that video only plays when the parking brake is engaged. I grounded the video cable and thus can still let my son watch Disney Movies when were scootin thru town (or to entertain my drunken buddies when I'm pickin them up)
02 - they are stitched
and heres the start up screen for the Kenwood I created in Photoshop since the pic isnt clear

I like everything except the rear tails and the wing. Other than that looks good.

How much did those seats cost? and did you get them from a wrecked cobalt or something?

seats look good in there.

Skunk - thanks. I'm starting on the inside and working my way out. The only things left on the inside are a steering wheel swap (if I can get it to fit on an '04 without a column swap) and ideally a carbon fiber console lid. The outside is next. I have an new kit lined up and some new rims. Then suspension, then engine and well, you know how the story goes.
Alex - I got the fronts for $250 and a drive to Harrisburg and the rears for $170 shipped from Michigan. The work to make the fronts fit safely while maintaining the integrity of the seat was the biggest headache. Check cobaltss.net forums if your interested. They are floating around on there from time to time.
Ben - thanks
Can't believe no one complimented the wrapped door panels. If they weren't wrapped I'm sure thats the first comment I would have gotten (this being the JBO and all)
Thanks for all the comments.

Seriously? STFU if you don't have anything better than that. Everybody calls Toyota parts Toyo parts around here. Or Yota. But I suppose that probably doesn't work for you either now does it?
Nice, clean ride dude. I think the reason no one complimented the door panels is because you can hardly tell they're not stock in the pics.

And thank you.

We need some better pics of this thing, I like it. Interior looks great! Did you make this headlights yourself?
* * BIG FOR SALE POST * *
I give the car a 9/10:
dislikes:
Its an auto ***cringe***
The spoiler (ive seen that one on cavs before)
Other than that its pure sex, I love the razzy kit, I love the wrapped door pannels (that my next project), the carbon fiber bezel is tits, love the rear painted lights, and I really love that navi system...the ss seats are also tits, makes the cavi interior look like a way better car rather than a @!#$ty econobox...keep up the awesome work.
jhand's car is almost the same (exterior wise) check it out

prowler - Thanks. I have better pics but they are on the digi. I have been unable to locate the USB cable for the camera for a few months now and honestly never use the camera anyway. The projectors were built by a fellow / former org member.
torres - Thanks! My dislikes include the spoiler, the 03+ tails and the Razzi front. Like I stated earlier I'm working my way from the inside out.
Next up - GM Extreme Tuner kit, Racing Hart M5's, Neon rear disc conversion and somewhere along the line a spoilerless pre-03 trunk with toyo tails (undecided on amber or clear signals).
Hoping to have all the above done by August but we'll see.
Appreciate the comments.

I really don't know how it goes. To me the performance is more important than the cosmetics, hasn't always been the case, but I've gotten back to being my old self before the org ever knew of me.
I do have an opinion on looks, I give it on occasion, and some favor looks over performance, I can respect that, for me a body kit other than stock is too much, this is the way I looked at things several years ago and have finally gotten back to it.
Your car does look nice, there are only a couple things I would change, they were mentioned. Keep it up, you seem to have pretty good taste.

I just noticed this...thought I'd add some input...I have 00 outter
toyo tails, 95-99 inner
toyo tails, used to have a
toyo trunk liner, used to want
toyo mirrors, and
toyo fenders. As mentioned, the acceptable slang on this site for "toyota" cavalier parts are toyo and yota...if you have a problem with the slang that WE ALL use...we...piss off.

Thanks Skunk. No need to explain yourself as your car is rediculous - in a good way. Even in sepia.
The goal is to eventually get as close to what a factory Cavy SS would have looked like (or my interpretation of one anyway) had they made it to the assembly line. This includes eventually being boosted but we'll see.

i was told that you should always use your ebrake even on auto due to the rear brakes being drums, something about keeping them adjusted longer
wow that came out nice!

Thanks Matt! Your seats went to a good home and completely change the interior. Well worth the drive to Harrisburg and back.
