Dyno sheet
Saturday, June 20, 2009 11:52 AM
Well finally got on the dyno today with my car. This is a 01 Z24 with 103k. Orginal motor with cams, GM charger, 57mm TB, Header with 2.5 exhaust, Alky injection custom tuning, Light weight flywheel and crank pulley. I'm happy with the results and it has more in it.
I'm attaching a scan of the sheet and will have some video later today. 208whp was the best.

Not bad, nice linear powerband. How low of a pulley is 2.5 on an m45?
I'd like to see what Quads can do with M62s...

hopefully if its an m62 it has larger than a 2.5

This is the smallest pulley you can put on a M45 (to my knowledge).

1. it is not a M62, it is a M45.
2. Why would you say that?

Here is a video from today.

You can use a 2.4" pulley on the M45.

what else are you producing @ that point besides unnecessary heat?

An extra 1.5 PSI and it only added about 10* to my manifold temp. assuming I used no alky/water to cool it down.

Very nice. 208 doesnt seem like a lot, but it seems like it pulls pretty nice.
good work

With grinding down the snout and finding someone to make that size pulley. Many have had problems fitting 2.5" pullies, but thats prolly the older pulley boys design. I always wanted to get my hands on an os crank pulley but thats hard when there were only 5 made.

And put a longer res on that thing! You can sure tell it has no cat lol, I didnt either but ran a 30" glasspack. I made 178whp on a 2.6" pulley and alchy on a dyno dynamics(heartbraker) dyno at the 08 bash. I believe there was like an 18% increase number wise compared to a dynojet which most peoples comparisons were about that. Not bad numbers at all though!

I had to remove material from the snout for the 2.6" pulley I had. The 2.4" was actually made for an M90.

Over 200 WHP is pretty impressive, all things considered. New Civic Si puts out less than 200 Gross, probably weighs more.

Heck, at one time 190 Gross was a big deal in a Camaro.

On my car Stegiemier had to machine the snout on my m45 for the 2.6" to fit properly. I have icemike's old blower and they said it was rubbing slightly . Not bad numbers man keep it up.

Realy?? Maybe doublecheck that as it may be a 2.5" pulley. I had thought about that once since its an older style pull ey the outter lip sticks up a little higher than my newer smoothflow 2.7 to keep the belt secure. Comparing it to a 2.7 pull ey it wasnt much smaller, but the actual belt surface may be a 2.5". Lol, just thought about that Luke, it might be something to check. I remember going from a 2.7 to that one I gained 3psi.

Not to hijack the thread but Steigemier said it is a 2.6". I wish it were a 2.5" lol . Thanks Mike .

I do have a resonator in the exhaust. I also have a removable one that I put in the end of the muffler. It is usually in. I made this exhaust to perform not sound good. Plus we were in a building and it made it worse than it really was.
