Some nice cars there! I'm not one to be making negative comments but damn that purple sunfire is rough. Looks like its barely holding together going down the highway! Hopefully he has plans to straighten it out.

That purple one looks like it was on it's way to the yard, most of the others are banged up, dented and without body-color-painted parts. The paint scheme on that two-toned one looks horrible on the trunk and I spotted at least one set of Pep-Boy special fog lights and turned-purple-over-the-course-of-eight-years tint.
The SS Cobalts were nice, at least

I don't know why I'm even replying to your post... I've pretty much stopped coming to JBO, but figured I'd troll around once and see what's new...
I apologize that those cars are not up to your standard. As mentioned, for some folks, it really doesn't matter what the car looks like, but who owns the vehicle matters more. I also apologize that some of those vehicles must endure harsh Montana winters (I dare you to do the same) and, at this current point in time, are nothing more than a daily driver, not something out to be a "show stopper".
Lastly, I'd rather drive 1200 miles with an unpainted front bumper through the desert.... don't have to worry about rock chips that way.
i agree alot with rob also. i daily drive mine. i live on a gravel road. and i keep it as clean as possible. thats all i can do. i love how RD fabs promotes themselfs

Y'know what...all I did was make an observation on the quality of some of those cars. It does
not take a lot of money to prime, rattle can, clear and wet-sand a spoiler. It doesn't cost a lot to fix a hanger on an exhaust, flush-mount a fog light or peel off purple tint. You claim this post was "all about the people" and yet you post upwards of 70 pictures of cars. Why
is that?
And just so you know, I drove my car year-round for about 4 or 5 N.Y. winters
and it still wears original paint, save for the kit.
Lastly, how RD Fabs does business is definitely not related to what I post or how I post it. If it bothers people that much that I have personal opinions, still, I'll take the logo out of my sig. The shop is packed to the walls with tuners, street rods and motorcycles and we have customers booked 3 months out. It's not because we do bad work or treat people poorly if you get my drift.
My tint is blue because I want it to be it has been since installed not becuase its faded to purple.
My spoiler doesnt match because its only there to fill the holes in the trunk until I can afford a carbon trunk.
Also, My car is daily driven, its my only car and it sees winter summer fall spring weather, I have no garage to park it in, it has its flaws, but its 100k+ solid running work in progress, you try and keep your car pristine with all that on top of it, and pay to do body work/ paint it with 2 kids and a low to nonexistent income. Not trying to say I have an excuse, man do I wish my car was flawless, perfect paint, and boosted already, but until I'm done buying boost parts/ internals, the outside of her is of no concern. Im poor. LOL
The point of the meet was not about tkaing pics of show quality cars, its about the people, NWGME is like a family and thats why we kick it no matter what condition our cars are in.
Personally i love your work at RDFABS, which I lived closer so you could build on my car/ make it a show stopper. But please dont think down on us because we dont all drive show cars, that ignorant.
Lets jsut clear up the why is this car not painted, why is this car this way posts by saying every car pictured in this thread is a work in progress, slwo progress, lol.
i for one think its great you guys out west actually got that many cars together. take it from someone that lives where the scene is also scarce... its not easy to gather up people and cars for a meet. so for that you get my respect.
color me lost but why were there people ragging on how dirty wojo's car was? did you not scroll down and see the after effects of him cleaning it? it was BEAUTIFUL. come on now, theres no way you saw those pictures...
sure there are some things that could use some attention on the cars but rome wasnt built in a day. im sure they are well aware of the things that need fixing.
is the red sunfire kardain's car? if so where are the freaking shots of the damn 3400 swap?! and what spoiler is that? i actually like it..

Quicklilcav- honest reason theres no pictures of people in this thread is because i had not time to take anymore pics when we got to our destination. i had to build rob a new motor mount for kardain
Brad- thanks for the compliments man. and yes. the red fire is Kardain's (Robs) and there werent any photos cause nobody had there hoods up long enough to take piks. i think he may have piks in another thread on another forum. not really to sure. and as for Scorpio1 having an IRS swap im sure he wishes but nope. no swap lol.
Oh, and the spoiler on the purple Sunfire made me lol
