Haven't posted in a while, but I have been working on the car a little bit trying to make it more problem/noise/annoyance free haha. That has been my main goal over the summer. Which is one reason I bought the O.E.M. front mounts, but that's for a different thread. If you are IndyTuning some of this will look familiar...
Done:
-sound deadened trunk with eDead 80
-sound deadened pass side door with Damplifier (still need to do driver door and use any left over on floor)
-put foam baffles under rear 6x9s to kill the vibration they were causing
-killed a lot of other little rattles
-new custom built sub box
-optima red top
-all new hardware/bushings for Addco rear sway bar
-new tires: Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position 225/50/16
-spoiler-less trunk (bought off of streetproe22; freshly painted by Manta, big thanks to him)
-toyo tails (cleared, also done by Manta)
-new toyo carpet clips (again, thanks to Manta)
Future:
-wash, clay bar, wax it before moving back to school
-use the rest of my sound deadening
-replace broken intake tube once I get my new one from K&N
-put on new front emblem (did something new I don't think anyone has tried before on here)
-order Tein SS's and new rims for next spring/summer
Pics...
And a couple new ones from today...
more pics to come after cleaning...
very clean. thats the way its done right there.
i could tell from the pics... but did you lay the sound deadener on the INSIDE of the doors?
Every time I scream "Release", I mean it, you know it. I feel the day. Black 7.

HOT!!!
had a blown ecotec swapped 2000 cavy, now just an 02 Grand Am, and a 74 BMW 2002...
How much did all the sound deadening hit you for?
SOO clean, keep it up. I always wondered if that sound deadening stuff is considerable weight.... I need some but I don't need to add unneccessary weight to my car.

yeah I got in there as much as I could. it definitely made a noticeable difference in the door sound when I shut it or knock on the outside. road noise has decreased slightly too.

I have kind of bought all the stuff in chunks so idk really for sure but I'd guess somewhere around $175 since I've payed like 3 separate times for shipping between ordering both the edead/damp. but it has been worth it. I know there is cheaper stuff out there but I wanted to use a quality product and both of those have impressed me about equally. I'd go with damplifier though if you can justify spending the extra money on it over anything else. if you want a better comparison between the two, PM me

I really don't think it has added that much weight. maybe 50 pounds tops after i put the rest on my door and floor. I'm not to the point where I wanna worry about weight like some of the faster cars on here are lol

thanks, deciding on the wheels is gonna be hard since they have to be 16s because I want to keep my new tires. and there will be two full layers of deadening on the entire trunk, doors, and rear deck when I'm all done, with the rest on the floor. pics of sub box to come in a few days, i forget to take some this last time.
thanks again for everyones comments so far!!
so much clean here FTW
Love the trunk the most with the tails

am liking it. smart and good way to go with the sound deadening and taking care of little things here and there. i fixed some rust, rattles and door problems myself but def. have some more minor work to do. somehow i feel like you should have a spoiler....
good luck with the rest of the work on the car and school too since it's around the corner.
I can't type at night..
I meant..This is a perfect example of OEM+, which is, by my definition, is how the car should have come from the factory, if we (enthusiasts) were building them
I love the look man, its awesome seeing a modded car with still such a stock/sleeper appearance
diggin the lack of spoiler....
