Then/Now and See Ya Thread

Well, I have come to a cross roads with the Cav and made the decision not to keep it as I have picked up a 79 Camaro as a new project. Here are a few pics over the years that I owned it and modded it to what it is today. I spent a lot of time on this site and a couple of others like the JCO and ClubCav etc.. finding ideas and learning a whole lot about the J-body platform and expressing the "car guy" in me that I never had up until I bought this car and started surfing these sites. As some of you know I am older then most of you here (43, there I said it!) and many peers and friends wondered what the heck I was doing modding a Cavalier. But I have to honestly say it's one of the most fun and enjoyable things I have ever done, and don't regret it one bit. Thanks for all the ideas and for those few I had the pleasure of meeting, chatting and dealing with etc... cheers and best of luck with your cars.

I'm out ... see ya guys.

I don't blame you one bit. Glad you enjoyed the time with your Cav, and good luck with the 79.

^^^ Oh don't get me wrong I am still checking my for sale post in the short term and want to peek in from time to time to check on rides I really enjoy seeing progress on. But not gonna be active in terms of posting etc... I have already started researching on Camaro sites like NastyZ28.com and The Ontario Camaro Club sites so naturally will be spending more time there. I'll shoot an update or two in the Other Cars forum once I get into it. Mostly dirty work at first and decontruction for a while before any cosmetic and performance stuff anyways.

Thanks for the comments thus far.

That's the beauty of modding cars... it doesn't matter how old you are or what you're driving, you're doing what you enjoy! Sad to see this ending, but at the same time, if I was given the option of a 79 Camaro....I'd drop my cav too! Best of luck to you!

Oooh, that's in nice shape, too. Have fun with it!

Definitely don't be a stranger here. It would be nice to see your progress pics on the F-body.
