I'm new to j-body and this is my first post. I have a 3rd gen cavi and im wanting to paint my headlight corners, but i need to know how sensitive the clips on the covers are before i go taking them off. I dont have much money right now to do any replacing, so anybody with any experience in this, if you could chime in here, i'd appreciate it.

try reading, he said he has a 3rd gen cav.
And you dont need to take off the lens (if thats what you meant by cover) to paint the corners. You just unbolt the headlights and yank'em out.

What u saud made no sense.before you correct someone try reading the guys info tOo. Just beacuse he has a 3rd gen doesn't mean squat. He has the 3rd phase headlites.meaning the 03-05 one piece. How would u go about painting the corner if u don't take the cover off? Either way.just take the headlite apart and remove the corner reflector.better yet just use a screw driver to break it. And remove the pieces throught the bulb hole.
