CLC's progress thread
Thursday, October 01, 2009 1:35 PM
Well guys, it's that time.

More goodies show up each day so It's almost time for the car to get parked for a few days and come out a whole new animal.

Wish me luck, and enjoy!

hmmm, what's all this?

=)
something is peaking out

Picked this up from Andy at the bash, just waiting for the right time to weld on a larger catback.
Thanks a ton Andy!

Drum roll..............................

I still need to get a few more things before I get started.
-heat exchanger
-ic pump
-tensioner pulley
-t/b adapter
-gauges of course

And either trade someone my zzp 2.6 for a 3.1 or sell it back to zzp and let them refurbish then buy a new 3.1.

If you guys know anywhere I can find any of these parts please let me know.

thanks for looking

For the IC pump contact Blue Oval Racing/Yates performance here.

Brand new, $90 shipped, mine made it here in 20 hours from ordering (located here in VA).

That's my motivation to install my Cobra H/E and my pump was being intermittent.

Andy and Steve,
Yeah I had planned on the saab, but I came across a deal on the charger.

So far I have less then 600 shipped in parts and I only have the h/e, pump, tensioner, and t/b adapter to go.
I couldn't pass it up.

Jay

don't make fun of my bride wheel
A local honda guy offered me 130 for it so I'll probably sell it and get a deep dish NRG.

DPT

Yes those basics have been sitting for a while
I'm picking up some lss wheels for the time being, and gonna see if some 5mm spacers will let the flik's clear.
If not then I'll break down and buy new wheels.

Mike
Yep ebay all the way,
I'm only going to use the rear though, I like my vert front stb just fine,
I figured for an extra 10 bucks I'd be able to sell the front pretty easily.

And everyone else,
Thanks for the comments!
I'm really excited about this project, my biggest so far.
I have some surprises for you guys as far as exterior goes, you'll all see next week.
And another thing that's been crossing my mind, I might go with some 20% tint, thoughts?

Tom,
Honestly, I'm one of those people that wouldn't build the motor until I break it, so I would love to throw it on there so I'd have an excuse to build another l61

I honestly wouldn't recommend these guys to anyone.
quality products, but everything as far as shipping and communication sucked.
I did a buy it now on ebay, paid for it immediately, and went a week without a tracking number.
I emailed them about it, they replied saying their shipment never came in so they requested we cancel the ebay deal.
I agreed, then went another week without getting a refund.
So I waited a few more days and finally emailed them and said I was about to file it with ebay and paypal that they never sent me the product, and never refunded the money after the transaction was canceled.
They replied and said they got their shipment in...
so a month later they show up haha
