Glassed these up as my first real fiberglass project. Theyre "boxes" for my 6 x 9's inspired by an epic fail of mine with my rear deck
Anyway, ive got a couple coats of high-build primer on it, and im starting to see it small flaws. Most of which are "pores" looking holes scattered around.
Hard to explain. anyone know what im talking about?
Either way, here are a few pics. Critisism welcome, but keep in mind, this is my first time using resin/mat/body filler.
Thanks!
Im assuming the dry/tan fabric im seeing inside them is the cloth you used to fiberglass with and if that is the case then the resin didnt soak in enough.
It is a neat idea, but im not an audio guy so i have no clue how well it will work.

if they are sealead they are likely too small for 6x9's and you may end up losing bass/midbass out of them. and are you just going to sit them on yoru rear deck or something? they just dont look like they would fit in and look good.
the holes your talking about are called pinholes. usually use a glazing putty to fill them in. just squeeze it out of the tube and spread it on, super easy to sand.

Ill show you all what i have planned for them when its done, youll see why i did it.
I wont be just sitting them on top anything =P And thanks for the heads up on the putty.
Theyre not sealed.
Also, the fabric that you see was a second layer on the inside. Im almost 100 % sure it soaked through the first. Thanks though, today ill pick up that putty and get them UMS.
