New 6000K HID's
Tuesday, October 27, 2009 7:16 PM
My new 35w 6000K HID's came in yesterday, and after a small problem with the polarity, I've got them installed and working. Turns out because the ground is switched instead of the power on our cars you have to plug them in backwards.

For the DRL disable I did it a bit different, after looking at the plug I realized I could just unplug one of the pins, so after a bit of messing around with a needle, the pin popped out and I was all set. Now if I ever need to switch to stock, I can just plug the pin back in.

3M Dual Lock to mount the ballasts, I love this stuff, works great

Ton of wires now...

Low Beams...

35w 6000K HID High Beams...

Sorry about the crappy cell phone pics

Thanks guys, I love them

The light isn't scattering bad at all, it's miles better than the halogens. Who needs projectors...

Ooohhh, I like. More reason for me to get a set. I thought I'd need clear headlights and or projectors, but yours look just fine. @!#$ yes. May I ask where you got yours?

Thanks everyone, I got them from DDM Tuning.

They have a good price and the Cobalt guys seem to like them. Just stick with the 35 watt sets, I've read that the 55 watts scatter really bad in stock housings.

I bought a D2s kit from DDM tuning a few weeks ago and it's a nice kit. The price was right too.

I got the 9005s, just for my high beams. But yeah the 9007s are what you need for a 00-05.
