personally i dont see what the big deal is on THIS particular picture? yes... you took it but neither car is yours so why does it matter? if anything you should be honored you're work was good enough to be stolen LOL
but yeah i get where you are coming from. some lame company stole the pictures of my carbon fiber trunk install a couple years back and actually used them for a group buy on HERE! needless to say i jumped down their throat about it.
I must confess... I feel like a monster!
Ask them if you can get something for using your picture, some kind of hook up or discount other than that there is not much you can do sorry bro
edit: I also noticed Roberts car from jacksonville is on that site too lol

Had the same thing happen to me from some ebay seller that sold Z3 fenders waaaaaaaaaay back in the day.
I just took it as a complement and went on with my day. Picture looks nice. Good modding!

This, when you upload a picture to a hosting site, it typically says in the terms of use that when you upload you're also giving any user the rights to use, manipulate, or anything royalty free. So technically, they had your permission to do whatever they want with your photos unless you used a private hosting.
Nice picture by the way!
ask them for discount on parts and then be done with it...I would be flattered!
I like this pic for their 95-02 2.2L intake.
The AEM badge on it makes it priceless.

Don't get me wrong guys, I'm flattered, but it is still my property that was used without my permission. It does not matter who's car is in it. Just because someone takes a picture of your car, it doesn't mean it's your property. The person took that photo with THEIR camera, meaning THEY have all the rights to that photo, not you.

Copying a style of modifications to a car and using a photo without the owner's permission are two very different things. There IS a copyright. The only source it was uploaded to was Flickr, which automatically adds the copyright.
*Edit* It's still on every photo page and visible to the public. When you look at the photo page, under additional info, it shows © All Rights Reserved, it's just smaller than it use to be.

Nope. It was taken from a website that clearly posts a Copyright All Rights Reserved and no where else. Meaning it doesn't go anywhere past that unless I give them written permission to do so.

I tried, they took the photo down right away instead. This is the e-mail that I got:
Hi Mark Kerckaert,
We are apologize for not asking your permission of the picture, we've took it off completely.
We are willing to offer you 10% off discount of your choosing if you can provide us with more detail pictures of your model and let us feature your model on our website.
Thank you for contacting us and wish you all the best.

I posted this on another forum and then they sent this:
Thank you for your kind words.
It would be nice if you can delete the full copy of our email content on the forum.
Thank you for your time.

Thats because they are messing with you and they are going to keep the pictures so they want no proof, tell them just to delete the @!#$
Looks like they deleted it but there's really no way to be sure. They could have just broken the link.

because allot of these companies are shady fly by night get the money quick type companies that some of us dont want our cars or reputation associated with.
imagine if some shady company was using your pictures of your car and then robbing people money like izntrble ended up doing, taking thousands of dollars. now imagine some guy driving thru town who just got jipped out of $700-800 and he sees your car and assumes its his car. so he decides to take a baseball bat to it. it can happen. i just prefer to not be used by someone else to sell their product.
