Alright, well I have finally got around to making a thread on some of the updates to my cavi. Im going to be using this a progress thread as the car is currently under construction. Boost is in the works
Il be throwing up some pics of how the car is coming along, and some of how it currently sits shortly.
Summer time I got ahold of some black leather seats from a 99 mitsu
Also did a neon rear disc set up
I know my picture skills are not the greatest but il do my best, more to come!!!!

Not bad man, seats are iffy to me but they do not look terrible.

i think the car looks very clean, wish there was more exterior pics but the inside is so clean, less is def more.
Those harnesses are actually going to do more damage in a crash than good. You would be better off with the stock belts.
Get a harness bar at least but, to really run a harness you should have a cage.

The harnesses has since been removed. I want to get a OEM harness bar, the problem is that there is next to no room for the bar that comes down and connects to the seat belt bolt location on the floor now that the seats have been changed. These seats are quite a bit wider then stockers or my old momo seats.

Love it, reminds me of my car when I first started modding. Keep up the good work! I like the seats, are they pretty comfortable? They look like the ones my wife had in here eclipse, they felt pretty good if I recall correctly.
Very nice! I'd say you're pretty much done with the exterior, now just make it faster.

They are from a 99 Eclipse. I find them to be very comfy and there are a bunch of adjustments. I really like them, took a bit of getting used to but they have grown on me. They are still in very good shape for being ten year old leather too.

That was one of my concerns too. I dont know why they made the backs nice and rounded but the bottoms are square looking. I still may take the bottom apart sometime and shave the foam down a bit to try and get my butt to dip down a little further as well. Maybe they will squeeze in a little tighter on the sides and not look to flat, get a nicer curve to them.
On a side note, does anybody know where i can get a phenolic spacer to adapt a HO intake mani to the 2.4? Iv herd of some guys making there own but im not so sure I can do that. Is getting a used one from another member my only option here?

The car originaly came white, so I had been dealing with a white engine bay for a couple years now. Its been painted for well over a month, so she has been collecting a bit of dust sitting in the garage.
The battery tray actually came out fairly easy. A little heat/cutting/bending got the bigger peices out and then just filed down the remaining spot welds. I also moved the fuse box into the interior so those mounting points are gone now as well. I have no intention of shaving the bay completly but I wanted to clean it up and make some room for charge pipes etc.
Waiting for parts is one of my battles right now. Ah well, what can you do. Thanks guys!

I like how clean your Cavalier looks in those summer pics. DONT INSTALL A BODYKIT! Keep the Z24 kit.
GMR has got nothing on this
