nice man. ya im sure you wont forget where everything went. when you become like me and take a motor out and let stuff sit for months then maybe you will forget haha. keep it up man. cant wait to see how it turns out
Why did you take the intercooler off?

Atta boy, throw caution to the wind and just do it. Thats how you learn things.
Quick tip for next time, just incase you do have to do it again. Unbolt the power steering pump from the engine and leave it attached to the car. Less mess and no need to bleed the system when you get the new motor started.
Lookin nice man keep up the good work
love how things are coming together cant wait to see it together. I want that f.u.c.k.ing body kit!!!!

because of the side skirts i have to jack the car up somehow. i used the bumper to do so. also its one less thing in the way to ding the fins and what not. also i pressure washed it and got all the bugs up and out of it. well worth it for sure.

thanks but you know what?
IT DOESNT MATTER
Cool. Maybe try re-running your charge pipes while you have it all hoisted and everything. Yours are similar to how mine were when I first did them. When I redid them I ran the one from the TB to the intercooler straight down after the intake manifold, and it comes out between the stock wiper fluid tank and the banana bar, then does a 180 into the intercooler. The other pipe goes from the intercooler, does a 180 through the plastic wheel well, under the oil pan in the middle and then up to the turbo. It's a lot cleaner that way. Just a suggestion if you want to clean it up a bit.
Good luck with the rest of the swap!

thanks guys. its going well, just got everything transferred over from old motor to new, except that crank pulley. any idea how it comes off? and the torque specs for it when it goes back on.
also need the tq specs for the flywheel and trans bolts too if anyone knows them... i think those are the only specs i need. thanks guys
its nice to have a big shop at home. i have parts spread everywhere from turbo to intake mani to starter to one motor here and another next to it. its a handful but would not have been possible with the old shop.
and yes 8000 rpm of insane fury!
Lookks good. Flywheel torque specs are 39lb First Pass+25 Degress. Trans to engine block i've never torqued them and have never had issues. Crank pulley once bolt is out slides right out oh and your supposed to change the crank pulley bolt when you remove it many will argue this point.
Oh yeah crank pulley was 74lb first pass 75 degrees second pass.
looking good man, uh for the crank i took mine off but i can't remember if i used a crank puller or not.... oh wait i never took it off... yeah id just use a crank puller. should have like 3 claws that grab the pulley from the part closes to the block then just has a rod where the bolt goes and you pull her off..... might want to wait for someone else suggestion, i COULD be wrong lol but im like 95%sure lol but its looking good dude, cars SO nice

i always just used an impact on my trans bolts..never a problem
