the engine. pretty clean. gunna get powder coated red, got AEM cold air for it, 4-1 header, soon to be secret cams, and eventually turbo.

yeah haha thats a 2001 z24 cavi and sad to say he rolled it at the end of the year =[ and you will! it will take some time but it SHALL BE DONE! haha
oh and did i mention i only paid 150 for the ss hood?!? hell of a steal if you ask me

what kind of SS hood is that? my rk sport doesnt have an scoop with a straight flow like it.
the guy i got it from said it was an rk sport hood he just cut it out and it looks really nice. he took the time to repair the fiberglass that he cut on the side. idk much about it other then its about 2 inches of a cowl

that reminds me of my old ss hood haha. i dont miss that thing one bit. i hope you plan on doing something else to change the looks other then the hood cause when i had mines on with the z kit i didnt like it very much but hey i paid 50 bucks for mines lol
haha yeah im going to get a body kit for it. i've been leaning towad a drift kit but im not sure. i think its one of the cleaner looking ones.

i think there were two different rk sport SS hoods. the one i have the scoop lines go further down the hood. and the scoop itself is less defined and is more round.
but interested in your build though.. keep us posted.

The first hood is 93-97 camaro ss style An anzcav hood is 98-02 camaro ss style hood hope that helps

YESSSS!!!!!!! FINALLY GOT THE 99 Z24 RUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AFTER LOTS OF WIRING AND REDOING THE WIRING FINALLY RUNSS!!!! AND RIGHT NOW ITS RUNNIN JUST AFTERMARKET RACING HEADER, EXHUAST IS JUST HANGING THERE FOR NOW.

isnt the 2.2 engine better to run then the 2.4 in IMCA racing

Looks good, my friend from HS runs in your class and he also runs a Cav. He told me the cavs do very well in that type of racing since he wins a lot.

yeah they are good cars. because A. you can find them cheap and parts are easy to get ahold of and B. the fact that its GM and not FORD! haha

oh and yeah the 2.2's are better engines for dirt track racing, they can handle more abuse at high RPM's for long periods of time. (and a lot easier to work on)
