well i've had the car for about 2 weeks. its got high mostly highway milage, and the body is a bit of an eyesore in spots, but it runs good and drives smooth, so i'm pretty happy with it. its a 95 2.2 base model coupe with a 3 speed auto.
and one with the Z for good measure.
i do not plan on modding this car at all. the worst part of the body is that rust spot on the driver's quarter panel, which looks worse than it really is. i may try to patch that up eventually, or even fix it properly if i find the time, but to be brutally honest i dont care. this is my winter beater/ daily driver until i can put a motor in the Z, which i have some minor plans for, but it's nothing to brag about.
it will be maintained and kept up nicely, but thats about it. it has a really clean graphite interior, which may eventually make it's way into the Z (at least the carpet and seats) but i really have no plans for this car.
things i've done so far:
change oil, replace air filter, replace accessory belt (ld9 is way easier), swapped on my winter wheels/tires from the Z
things i need to do:
replace plugs + wires, replace fuel filter, check and service the rear drums (r/r sticks when using the parking brake), replace blower motor resistor, put it on the lift at work and check the exhaust (leaks somewhere), maybe throw it on the alignment rack at work and recenter the steering wheel, keep it running.
i dont usually post pics of my Z, because it's nothing much to look at. the biggest noticable things on the exterior are a VIS OEM CF hood (first pic only) and Toyota tails, but here are some recent shots:
its only been off the road for a month, but i miss driving it already.
i was bored so i figured i'd share.
not bad man. ai'nt nothin wrong with a winter beater.
wish i could afford one lol.
as far as ur current z goes the only things i'd recommend are losing the side moldings, and clear corners/side markers. but judging from the toyo tails i'm guessin u kinda like the amber so rock on man.
not bad lookin cars at all.
Looks good for winter beater. Take care of that cancer behind the door and it looks like your good to go.
if you want to improve the gas mileage a bit, put in iridium plugs. they do wonders for the LN2.
Did you know someone bit your car?
