ok so, i just got my new block so im starting my progress build from my LN2 into my LD9. its going to be a long build seeing as i have the block, head and oil pan. its going to be a complete rebuild so bare with me.

here is my LD9

wish me luck with this build, im going to need it. my goal for this car is 300hp boosted. so if you are selling any parts for this LD9 including a 5speed transmission wiring harness, ecu all the goodies

you got a long road ahead of you.... now is the time to get your motor internally sound

Hit up Karo and get
Forged pistons (you tell him the comp ratio you want)
Eagle Rods
ARP head and main studs
Spec Stage whatever Clutch and flywheel
1mm oversized stainless valves

then find you a 2.3 oil pump and accessories
get the block modified to accept the 2.3 oil pump

while its there, get them to knife edge your crank 3 lbs and balance it and mic it for the correct size bearings (go clevite 77)

then get you some HO Springs and Retainers, and lifters, HO Cams and housings. Get the intake cam modified to work for the 2.4 (needs the cps pad and ps pump insert)

now you're ready for turbo!!

I agree with the above, except for knife edging the crank and the spec clutch. If you've got money to blow, go ahead and knife edge it, but there is little to gain in the area of the crank. And don't waste your money on SPEC. Complete garbage. Throw in a stock Luk clutch and you will be good to go.

I would like to second Spec being crap.

Also, kinda bothered by people like you who say "used non-synthetic" as a big issue. It's a bone stock econobox that was built and designed with the use of conventional oil. I don't see an issue. The intervals are the problem, not conventional oil.
