Looks like a good deal. I am going to be looking for somthing similar myself quite soon.
Since you are planning on a GT kit, which would mean paint work. I would shave the trunk, and throw some evil eyes onto it. And GT wheels... not so much. Some Z wheels or you could even find some cheapo VW wheels in your area, and you would have a sick DD/Beater. That's just my two cents. But good find none the less.

Looks really clean for a beater. Thats a steal for that price. I say just use it as a DD and dont worry about an engine swap. Save the money for your other j's

Nice beater! I have the same thing in red. Runs like a champ with 187k on it! I love th interior! I can't say that I've ever seen a tan interior in a fire either.
