Is This Low Enough?
Tuesday, March 16, 2010 10:49 PM
Well I got my STD's on.... what can I say? Amazing stuff... rides this low better then stock over bumps... Mmmmm

Sad thing is, I can go lower, a lot, and don't have the restrictions like other people Have, I can shorten my strut not compress the spring so my travel i never hurt...

Questions? Comments?

if it wasn't for my pinch welds/subframe brace/oilpan I could go easily 2 more inches lower lol

right now im at like 1.5" clearance between sub frame brace and ground of course to go 2 more inches id need to take it off

Looks good Phil! If I were in the market for some suspension, I'd definetely go STD.

I could go a lot lower with my B&G's if I so desired, but I like handling characteristics thank you .

Plus it doesn't look like every dumb Honda around here.

my handling characteristics are amazing. With dual ride height adjustability nothing is compromised. My suspension travel always stays the same the lower I go because I am shortening the strut and not compressing the spring. That's the good thing when someone purchases good, high quality coilovers. Even as low as I am, my a arms are straight to the ground and I have full travel. I don't have sleeves or like teins or rk sport...

Not to mention I'm sure those honda's arent using the same quality suspension as I am, or even possibly you. This coilover system is the only one for the J-Body that offers this option of dual ride height adjusting, pretty sweet thing. I did my research and purchased suspension that could go low and not compromise ride quality or handling characteristics depending on how low I am

I actually just looked up your B&G's. You can do the same thing, you can set your spring pre-load with the top spanner nuts. Then when that is set where you want it you adjust the height using your strut, this never compromising ride quality or handling characteristics. Good stuff we have!
