Yes people, im back. A few years ago, i sold Sneezy to a friend of mine, that tore her up. Now, from the few people that know me, from the older j-body bashes (My last one was the indy bash about 3 or 4 years ago) knew i was married. Well, just like my cavalier, i got rid of her too. LOL. Ne who, i have recently found a girl that i have been dating for a little over a year now. Well, a few months ago, i got my fiancee her first J. Yeah she loved it, as most of us j-body lovers do. But it wasnt nice, but what u expect for 250 and a running car?? Well, about a week ago, i sold it for 500. Decent profit off a car that wasnt bad when i got her. But then i found my girls newer car. A 1996 Red Cavalier Convertible!! Only 500 bucks!! But when i saw that, i thought she would be beaten up big time. I go and look at her, and no, body is great, tires great, brakes great, trans great, only thing i heard was the rod knock coming from the engine. So worse case senario, i gotta rebuild the motor. So, i bought her, and now im happy, and she LOVES it!! I dont think it was too bad for 500.00. Especially this clean. And anyone who knows me, knows im going to fix it up. Anyone got some ideas?? Thanks alot guys, and im going to put pics up of it up, as soon as i figure out where to host them lol. Ill say this tho guys, feels great to be back! Oh btw, its only the LS, but it has the 2.4 motor. Idk maybe thinking turbo or supercharger since i gotta rebuild the motor anyways. LOL.

Damn Arrival, ur making me really miss Sneezy hahahaha, i loved that Eco!!! I have a buddy that came with me to the Indy bash that placed 2nd in the races they had, and unfortunatly he blew his motor, i wonder if i should try and buys his car, and have another j again for me since this vert is the girly's car lol.

Hahaha, thanks man. Yeah i sold her for stupid cheap, but since me and the wife split up, the yellow car was kinda the project with me and her, and when she left, i just could not drive it again. So i sold her, and i feel bad about it since the guy who has her now tore her to hell. Then tells me to buy it back for the same price! I was like ummm, i love that car btut i dont love it for that price lol. Ahh well, hopefully this car and marriage goes better hahahah.

damn your lucky ive been looking around here for a vert of any jbody and cant have any luck without traveling too far looks good though for 500 bucks
Yeah the body is pretty good, just the back window and a little rust hole on the rear quarter thats about 4" by 2" which aint nothing. But for all purposes the car is well worth the 500 bucks i paid. Pls everything is pretty mint. I was shocked to see it go up on CL and the guy was only asking 700, i knew it would not last long. Hense the reason i went out that night after work and drove from Chicago to I94 and Siblie (SP?) BLVD which was not the best neighborhood to be in after dark, but i did it to get the car. Well worth is IMO. Lol, but thanks guys!!
my vert wasn't even for sale when i saw it. i put a note on it asking to buy it. two days later it was in my name for 800 lol. even came with sweet 15" hubcaps lol
Lol. I bet those caps were sweet! LOL. Its funny tho, bc my girl isnt really into bright colored cars. Pretty much she loved my old j from the pics i showed her, but she hated the yellow color. Now i get her this bright red car, and at first was very reluctant to like the color, and she was already thinking of colors to paint it, until she saw it, and was like "yeah im liking this color" and i was just like, "Yep told you, you would" . But now i gotta start finding things to do to it. Im showing her all types of kits, and such, but i wanna start it simple, fisrt get it running, then do suspension, then a really cheap bodykit (this way she can learn to drive in chicago and smash that one to hell and i wont care) then go onto a poly-urethane kit, then doors (maybe lambo again not sure), then interior (sounds, dash, ect). But since this is a vert, im a little hesitant just bc i dont want to throw away from the really nice lines the car already has. I know im not doing any big wing, or maybe no wing at all. These are things still in the making. I have time to worry about thoser later, my main concern is getting this motor out sunday, and tearing it down to see wtf is up with it. Than its time for the fun goodies

Nice find and welcome back bro. A verry funny thing is I'm going through my old camera cause I'm taking it to our lonestar bash here in Texas on Friday, and I found pics of the yellow turd bucket J/K LOL. Hell maybe i need to get ahold of him and see what he wants to do with that. I also just got a lead on a 99 cavalier convertable that a guy wants to sell. Im gonna try to get him down dirt cheap bc all i really want is the motor. Or if the car is really really clean and a nice color, i may just keep that one for her. Ill let you guys know. I may have a vert up for sale, but it will be without the motor. DOnt worry it will be cheap since it will really be just the body and transmission. Ill keep you all posted. I know mathew was looking for a vert, so this maybe his chance!
if i were you i would keep the extra droptop for a parts car. parts a scarce an expensive .
