okay guys so i haven't been on here for well...since middle of the summer. i have built this car from the ground up and im 17 yrs. old, so im an amature i guess you could say i've spend hours on body work and engine work and everything....wellll the motor, body, , paint and interior was all shot, dash has infamous crack. redid everything!!and i redid it all myself. this is the out come from then (if anyone remember what the body work did look like) to now. this is how she sits in my garage. i picked up a cheap body kit and also would like comments on do it or leave it all stock effects. i only have paint and rim costs into this car for the most part.
LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK! THANK YOU!!!
ANDDDD to see the progress from the build from basically start to now go to my photobucket and check it out.

thats as big as they are on your photobucket. either a) photobucket resized them so check your settings on there or b) you have super small pictures to begin with. what size are the originals on your computer?

Please for the love of God, stick with the factory Z kit. That body kit is horrendous... The SS hood, however, looks nice in black... thats tempting me...

Yes, please don't do the blitz kit and the MR7 wanna be rims. You can not get any less original than those 2 things.
i paid 150 for the rims lol so they are temporary til i find a clean set of srt4 rims or something you may suggest?
and thanks about the hood man! i have 12 hours of sanding and bondo work to fix that thing up from what it was!

I would sell the boy kit and wheels ( once you replace them ) and use that money to lower it, Black projectors, Nightshade the tails and bumper lights, tint and No Body kit.. Get some nice black wheels with a polished lip. It would be golden.
Any before pics?
.
.
go to my photobucket link on my very first post to see all the before pictures. she was a realll mess from the start. i dont have a crap load of pictures but it shows what i went thru to get it where she is today. or when i get out of school ill post all the before pictures and stuff on here when i have a little time.

You did the painting in your garage? What about dust? is that just a single stage gloss paint, or did you spray clear. I'm REALLY interested in this car. Not too often ya get to see a highschool age student not only working on a car, but doing it nice...not rice.
Props man. If I had a place to work/weld on my car it would have a 5spd custom exhaust, and re-paint.
its not my style but to each there own. but i must say it was much sexier with the rims, tint, and stock z bumpers.

for the dust we wiped down everything in the shop and sprayed the walls and floor with the hose and then put a chain around the axle going to the floor (suppose to make so dust dont attract to car? says my grandpa lol)
and its chevy black with 2 coats of clear on it. sprayed it all myself.
and thanks man! it means a lot to know that someone appreciates my work. i know its not absolutely perfect and all but im still learning and stuff but it helps having an autobody class at school at the same time.

looks great. tho i would agree on not doing the kit and leaving the z kit on it. i had one i did the same thing, fresh out of high school. repainted with ghost flames, wheel fell of and i decided it needed repainted, so end up getting a blitz front bumper, and repainted with green flame and biohazard emblems and wheels painted to match. it looked ok for about a day or two. then i started snagging the bumper on everything and it all just went to hell. then i wish i would of just left it with the z kit. lol but gl on what ever route.
i like the stock z bumpers as well. i respect you did things right welding and what not. and painting is an art especially in an at home garage. i would say the wheels arent terrible if you painted them black but over all the car is just begging for a drop and it would be good to go. nicely done especially for your age
thanks a lot guys! i sold the blitz kit for 300 bucks tonight and i only paid 125 for it so i think i came out pretty damn good on that deal =] i'm going to buy a supercharger the one on here from bobby h (the polished one for 1100 bucks) and drop that on my motor.
i have an rksport lowering kit (coil overs) that i was going to put on but not a clue in the world how to do it. lol

well last night i got really bored so i had some blue l.e.d. underglow laying around my garage so i decided hell why not put it on and match my buddies v8 s-10. it lights up the sidskirts from the inside as well and gives it a different look i think. idk maybe just me but this is the results of underglow, some screws, a tape measure, a sharpie, and 2 hours to route wires, and a lot of boredum. sorry the picture is really bad. but ill get better ones hopefully friday

For a quick wheel fix, paint those wheels black, then take the center caps apart, should be an aluminum ring and then some cheap chrome plated plastic...it will come apart with some flatblade screwdriver love. paint the aluminum ring black, and peel the icw stickers off the inner piece. when you wipe the glue goop off from under the sticker and clean them up it will be chrome...then superglue all that back together and it will look much better. I did that on my old SE-R and it looked much better. I wish I had some decent pictures of it when it was done.
thanks man i might just have to try and do that tomorrow and see where it gets me lol
im trying to find a set of srt-4 rims and black them out or if i find a sweet set of black rims with a chrome lip i think it would make it cleaner and a 2" drop would make it sexy
