So after a crappy day at work I come home to find a softball sized dent in my quarter panel. Im pretty pissed off, hope insurance covers it. Id like to reduce the dents not make more. could be worse but still FML!

Exactly... If paint is not cracked, call up a PDR place... That looks pretty easy to get out...

If I read right I have a zero deductible for comprehensive damages.
so what caused it? or have no idea?
Just talked to the insurance company and i have no deductible, i have an appointment to get it looked at next wednesday.

I have no clue...went to work and it was fine came home and there it was. kinda looks like something fell on it or it got hit by a ball really hard.
You should be able to pop that out your self.
I have popped millions of dents out just pop the trunk pull the carpet out of the way and push on it.
Looks to me like it should just pop right out with your hand.
Eh if I had to pay some crazy deductible I would go that route but its covered under comprehensive since I dont know how it happened and isnt going to affect my rates at all. Plus if it costs less than they estimate I get the extra cash!
Im starting to think it was the neighbors kid not sure if it was on purpose though.
as a bodyguy... that curve will be difficult to just push out, being so close the flange, the rigidity is stronger. i really don't like pdr, for the fact that when the dent is massaged out there are microscopic cracks that you can only see under a scope.
damn neighbors always come way too close to my cars with their bikes
You DON'T like PDR because of something super tiny that can't be seen by the human eye, and probably doesn't cause any issues in the future? How many years, in your short life, have you been a professional "bodyguy"??
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

Id be fine with PDR even if the integrity of the paint was somewhat sacrificed only because I will eventually be getting a paint job. My clear coat is starting to try and leave my car.
