Something Old... Something New... Something Silver... and Not Blue
Sunday, July 10, 2011 10:40 AM
Yesterday, I got around to removing my ricer blue interior paint
I also painted my mirrors the same day, and I plan to paint my handles today
Lordco GM Silver Metallic was a DAMN near perfect match, if I do say so myself

Let me know what you think

Before...

After ♥

And the mirrors

I also want to thank my friends for their help, and all the sanding time!

Yay? Nay? Suggestions?

they look pretty silver to me?

op, looks good man, like mike once said getting rid of the spray painted interior and going back to stock (or closer to it anyways) is almost a j-body rite of passage lol

mirros and door handels look really good, did you take the handels off or just tape them off and paint on the car?

also did you sand the handles or just leave the testured look on them?

mirrors and door handles look great!!

I dunno tho, I liked the blue interior pieces. they looked well done and you didn't go overboard

I smoothed them with some 400 grit and left them on the car. I don't have a rivet popper to re attach them.
Should've taken a picture with the thousands of newspaper articles all over everywhere

Thanks
I did like the blue at one time, but it's been on there since 2009 so it was time for a change. Surprisingly it held up to the sun and myself for that whole time. Looked really good before it came off.

mine's been blue since February 2009, and it's held up good so far.. even after sitting for a yr now. but I went the full 9 and did the entire center console, not just the mirror button panel lol. but to each his own, bc the silver looks really good too. my purple Cavi had silver painted accents as well

LMAO! It's so true! I remember back in the day when I decided to ditch my blue painted interior pieces and go back to all graphite .

I like it looks way cleaner but I wouldve done the interior pieces black, car would look a thousand times cleaner.
