Leaving part of the opening on the lip makes it look a little goofy. Cut it a bit lower so it sits flat on the bumper. It will still be low as hell.

Tossed it in the bin behind my apartment.....doubt you would want it.

It was a failed attempt by the previous owner of my car at making 2000 headlights work. I started to finish it to realize that it just wasnt worth the hassle. So got the inspiration from Coach and ACav2Envy. Loved the look and decided to give it a shot.

It doesnt fit quite right though and may have to cut the lip down smaller. Going to investigate with a grinder first before I cut it.

Cant decide if I want to leave it as a bolt on lip or a molded on lip...

I somewhat agree...going to have to cut again anyways to get the fit right.

But wanted to cut not enough which is better then to much.

I'd leave it boltable

I decided to...with the height of my car and how low the lip is I WILL run into stuff from time to time. Easier to just repaint the lip.

and you won't destroy your Bondo work as well. on top of the fact that when it's molded like with Coach's car, it just looks odd. I think it looks titties right now. if I didn't already have a WW lip, I'd attempt or buy this setup

Been working on it as much as I have time for the past few days.

Fixed the dent in the OEM bumper, shaved the plate holder, re-cut the lip.

Lip fits alot better now but need to do some grinding to make the ends fit as nicely as id like. That and grind the lip where it meets the bumper for a more finished look.

***Whats the best way to grind down urethane??

I was thinking a 24 grit rolox...like a 2" pad.

Looks awesome. How are you gonna attach it to keep it removable?

There is spots where it connects to the bumper. Center, sides.

I have to grind a couple spots to help fit but those spots I can bolt together. Then make a couple brackets for between the end and center. It'll be fairly sturdy with just that.

Something low speed...a DA with 120 grit will shave it down nicely, then 220-320 to smooth it. A palm sander will work too if you don't have access to air tools, will probably not work as quickly though.
What you DO NOT want to use is anything high speed...angle/die grinder, electric grinder, etc. Way too high rpms and they'll just melt and tear the plastic and leave a jagged edge.
Also, any area where you might need a nice tapered edge, heat it up with a heat gun (or hair dryer if need be) til it's just a little soft, and use a utility knife to slice a clean ege

One thing I find curious....

My IF front I currently have on my car is very ridgid like a oem bumper where as my one I cut apart is very flexible.
