what kind of coilovers? ground control?
I'm not sure truthfully, there just sleves and I got them used, but they look really well made, and ride very good, I don't razz the car around really anyway, so even if they are cheap ebay ones, they'll do till I get some better ones
what color are they? the only real good sleeve coilover for a j are GC which are mostly red and then gold for the spring perch.
Mine are red, but the perch is like a silver/aluminum
Well, seems the car won't be painted till spring, which sucks, but oh well, either way, good newss is the rims are done, hubspacers are in, doing the 2200 coil swap tthis weekend I hope, anyway, ill hopefully have some pics up in a few hours
well, kinda forgot about this thread lol, anyways, still very little progress with the car, only thing i really did was put a glass pack in the exhaust to quite it down, and did the 2200 coil swap today, anyways, heres some pics
when i was working on Colt's hood
the testing stage of the coil swap
got it mounted, wires all down to the right length, soldered, heat shrinked, taped together and soom loom over them
probably wont have much more progress this year, but you never know i guess, ill keep this updated if i do anything to the car
Well done. What did you use for plug wires? I'll have to update my 'prototype' with longer ones like that.
there just NGK wires from a neon or something like that, there stupid friggin long, too long really, im gonna get MSD wires when i get the MSD coils
i like how the wheels came out, keep up the good work
thanks, might do something about those front spacers ive been wanting to work with

That bastardization of a hood? With the bondo'd fender flares?...you used to be cool.
1999 - Cavalier - 5speed - Exhaust - 17" rims - carbon fiber hood - the beater
Thanks for that ^ out of left field comment.
Now something relevant.....
Like the gold wheels, should look good with the blue your gonna be rocking.
Like the wheel spacing, and love the slammed ride.
Love the 2200 coil swap, wanna do this to mine sometime down the road, props.
hey, colt wanted it done so i did it, its not perfect and ill probably end up touching them up in the spring
and thanks scorpio, i plan to do some more with the stance of the car next spring when i get new tires, and the swap is fairly easy now that i took the time to do it and get it working, car pulls a little better and runs smoother overall
well, havent touched this in a while, i dont have any pics at the moment, just giving the thread a little bump for when i have some progress in the next few days, plans are:
get my exhaust bent up
install it
get my other control arms ready for new bushings/ball joints/paint
order prothane tranny mounts/control arm bushings
thats all i can do for now, untill i get paid again
hey which spacers did you get? im lookin for a set but dont know where to look
i made my own 1/2" hub spacers and already had my 3/8" wheel spacers
screw it i think ima just hit up ebay
well, i got some pics finally, got everything to do my exhaust, new flex pipe, cat, some pipe, probably gonna need more pipe, and i fixed my shifter too, had a few broken peices, so i swapped out what needed changed with the shifter from my parts car
might be getting the pipe bent tomorrow, then ill be able to install it, and then start on the other things i have to do
should have taken your seats out while you were at it, and gave it a nice Vacuum.
i probably will before shes road ready again, interior needs some TLC big time
