Harrop HTV1320 LSJ

This deserves it's own thread. I just finished installing it tonight and the rest of the car still needs a decent bit of work to be finished.

The TVS is on. Details:
3.5" pulley
100% bone stock L61 with 95k on the clock(i havent even had the cam cover off)
stock LSJ belt
ZZP S3 H/E
LS1 TB
4" intake
63# injectors
Racetronix W-body fuel pump w/ harness
RD Fabs 2" primary header
Atomic 3" catless exhaust
Ryan Lutz(Oldskool) will be tuning it via HP Tuners on the stock Alpha-N ECU.
I am usually very good at keeping my profile up to date.

Ryan and I will be using this thread to document our findings and experiences with it. I hope to put together a built L61 over the winter and swapping that in with the LD9 Speed Density ECU and dropping pulley sizes. I have a 3.3", 3.15", 2.9", and 2.6" pulleys waiting for it.

Ok, 1st set of findings.

The TMAP mounting tab needs to be hacked up so the TMAP can be rotated out of the way towards the radiator hose. It is basically trial and error. If you are running the screw in MAP sensor you should be fine.
The lower bower bolts are a PITA. I dont really have a good idea on how to install them. The radiator support is in the way.
The upper blower bolts barely fit between the TVS and fuel rail.
I had to reroute my manifold to FPR vacuum line from in front of the fuel rail to behind it.
Be mindful of your dualpass routing off the manifold, i had to tweak mine a bit to clear the bypass valve.

Cant wait!!

Are you restricting the bypass to limit boost like Wizard?

No, boost will only be limited by the size of the pulley. The 3.5" is rated for ~15psi. Im hoping for ~270whp ATM.

Hell yeah Kyle! Looking forward to details........Evo if your on an hpt tune you could be anywere from 220-260 whp depending on mods...but bbk and large rims will rob hp due to rotational mass.

if your running gm tune like your profile says, id guess no where near 270. prob like 200-210whp.

13.22 @ 105.2

Not too mention that the M62 Dutch Oven doesn't move the amount of air the TVS does

Glad to see you got it on Tinkles. I am very interested in how the tuning goes, you holding off on the LD9 speed density until the built motor?

yup and with heat exchanger pump issues and a rear main seal issue now, i am at 0 HP for a while.....catching rides to work again!

Eh, it is more like that i have changed soo much on the car already that i dont want the extra downtime this summer. Besides i still need to modify the harness and i dont really have the time to with everything else that is going on with the car.

There are already 2 issues with the TVS. Both belts that i have are too small to fit the 3.5" pulley and my hands are too big to put the 2 lower S/C bolts in. I might have a friend stop by that has considerably smaller hands and have him try. But that wont be until next weekend. The only other thing is the MAP port on the blower. I dont want to permanently seal it like the M62, but i did pick up a removable plug awhile ago. Unfortunately the designed is flawed, but i already have someone reworking it to make it better.

Im shooting to have the car back on the road by the beginning of July, but so far i havent met any of my self imposed deadlines.

The only way I was able to get those lower bolts in was to slide them in with a set of mechanical fingers, then tighten them with a pair of vice grips clamped to the long allen wrench. As far as the belt goes I had no luck finding a longer one, and also had no luck in the search for a smaller tensioner pulley. My guess is that you might be able to squeeze it on there with the 3.3.

As you know I'm interested to see how it all works out for ya.
