Gay!!!
I'm more interested in performance gains compared to stock coil packs, but I really like how the new setup looks! Great job.

Damn bro that interior is PURE WIN!! I love it and its just me but I think the steering wheel just sets it off perfect..GREAT job man!!
What material did you cover the upper dash pad with? It looks awesome

I am really feeling that dash material too.
Yes I too was liking the dash, what is it?
Pj,
Let's see some up close shots of the cluster and bezel
fix that dash crack. lol
Everything looks good, and the vent will fit everything well once it is done.

thanks a lot guys! the interior has been a side project of mine for a while, I haven't taken super detailed pictures yet because I'm still not quite done.
my interior used to be tan, so I'm still getting rid of it for a full satin black
the upper dash is wrapped in Detroit Book 2009 Ebony Impression. It's around $70 a yard. I used it to wrap my door inserts and pockets in order to match the 09 cobalt SS turbo seats.
I bought some more with the intent of wrapping the dash pad, the rear deck lid, the sun visors, and possibly the headliner (I'm still thinking of something else for the headliner)
the steering wheel is out of a solstice (same as cobalt, G5, vette, etc... hhr wheels are larger diameter tho) direct swap onto 03.5+ steering column. wiring was a bit tricky, but nothing major. My airbag however is still not hooked up just yet. Radio controls ARE functional.
no close ups of the cluster just yet, because it still isn't done.
I still need to knock out the stock plastic covering (the hole looks stupid since I no longer have an odometer reset) and recover with a solid sheet of plastic.
that plastic is then going to be nite-shaded pretty dark, so the gauge cluster is only visible when lit up.
I also need to add the blinker indicators and CEL indicator LEDs in there. That's next on the immediate to-do list (as well as get rid of the damn rattle it has because a significant portion of the gauge cluster is gone, so it rattles on the radio bezel pretty bad)
I've had the steering wheel for a while, along with '09 cobalt SS turbo front and rear seats.. here's some old pictures
the doors I painted and wrapped to match
I still need to paint the quarter covers and address the lower dash in front, but my goal is to finally finish the interior this year and be rid of tan once and for all.
my seatbelts are also cobalt blue from seatbelt planet... it's very VERY close to arrival blue.
I'm basically shooting to just update the cavalier interior to Cobalt SS turbo status. I want it to look beautiful, but not overly dramatic, and I also want to eliminate as many rattles as possible at the same time.
thats hottt
RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
More info on the style and such of belt you got Pj.....those are mint!
Maybe I need to lead by example...... lol
ok ok, for those who asked:
I worked on it a bit more today, hacked up some more of the OEM cluster in order to get the rattles to stop (Rattles.. rattles everywhere!)
much more solid now, And I managed to salvage part of the gauge face and the support/bulb isolator behind it. I'm going to add LEDs to restore the blinker indicators, CEL, and high beam indicator.
If I feel saucy, I could also hook up the BRAKE light as well, but I don't really see the point of that light.
again, the plastic lens needs to be removed and replaced. There's a hole for the odometer/trip reset that is no longer needed because the PCB that's normally the entirety of the cluster is no longer there.
I'm debating not tinting it now, although I feel that a tinted lens will be classy as F**K.
Be sure to use a light tint... I would go with a 35% if you use film otherwise try to find you some smoked plexy to cut to fit yourself don't go darker than 20%
Vht night shades. Make it as light or dark as you want.
Don't be surprised if that Racepak comes up missing one day
