Okay got the intake on, now bolt issues

Okay, need some help with my ebay intake. I got it put on professionally, but the bolt on the power steering pump where the bracket attaches won't start. Any help with this would definitely be appreciated. Needless to say I learned my lesson and I'll be ordering an AEM intake soon. Thanks for any help

Did you make sure the correct intake was sent out? Intake is as simple as a couple of ring clamps and the o2 sensor, nothing else should be effected

I have AEM on my car simple bolt up, but i have done an intake on a 2.2 and had to go to the hardware store in the middle to get a longer bolt then was supplied with the kit. im really not sure what bolt your talking about, its been years since i installed mine and now it has been modified for the supercharger. wish i could be of help but it may be as simple as buying a new bolt....
also its the IAT sensor in the intake

Why oh why pay some one to put a $45 peice on that takes a total of 30 minutes for even the most none mechanically inclined person. Im not really bashing on you just wanted to point a few things out.

1. you bought an ebay intake - Did you get the bomz? if so long or short tube ?
2. The bolt wont start - did the person putting it on strip the end of it ? Mine came with no bolt it just sets in place real nicely.

3. Next time try to install something siple your self, you get a little more respect and self worth feeling out of the whole thing, or goto the regional section of the forum and find some people in your area and im sure 1 of them will meet up with you and help you with anything you need.

Again I am not trying to hurt your feeling or anything, just try the siple things first.

Hit 200 NA it broke once, Hit 213 it broke again,
Hitting 300 NA is further away than I thought.

Okay. I know I must look like a complete fool for having a mechanic put on a simple bolt on, but the only reason I did it was when I put it on, the engine was sounding rougher than I'd ever heard it run. I didn't know at the time that when I unhooked the battery that I cleared the Keep Alive Memory and the computer would have to relearn the engine. I do know how to put on an intake. Second, I'm not offended R O L, as it is I just ordered a strut tower brace and I'm pretty sure I can install that lol. But to answer your questions. First, it is just a no name brand custom intake not the bomz. It is a long tube. Second, the bolt I had the dealership order a new one and come to find out the bolt is not stripped it is thin on the end and then goes to a bigger thread.
