What about long-term effects? A friend of mine told me that engine mounts have bad effects in the long run? Also, I haven't had my car lowered and I don't have exhaust, what kind of vibrations will I get with the mounts?

Ya thats what I am wondering, how bad if any are the effects of now having all those vibrations going directly to the chassis, as for vibrations I dont think I will really care considering my sound system is 2200 watts RMS. I dont have my car lowered yet though, but I will the second this crap snow melts

One thing to keep in mind guys is that the mount for the ecotec is actually a mount - not an insert, so you'll be looking at about $40 for the lower and $130 for the upper.

I don't have an eco-tech engine but I am interested in mounts, I'm just wondering if the vibrations from the mounts would be too bad or if I would barely be able to feel them. Is there anyone who has mounts but not lowered or exhaust who can tell me if the vibrations are bad?

I really cant explain it to well . I really did not notice any vibration in my car, but hten again I had 110k miles on it before they went in. If you want to mod a car you have to learn to live with a few things that come with it.

Hit 200 NA it broke once, Hit 213 it broke again,
Hitting 300 NA is further away than I thought.

the vibes aint to bad. they go away some when they break in so to speak. you can really feel it on cold days, but when the engine warms up you hardly notice. well at least for me

Pretty sure that would void the warranty if they knew...swap in the oem mounts and try not to make it obvious the mounts were swapped, before bringing the car in for warranty work, thats what I'd do.

Unless the warranty work you are getting done is a direct result of the Mounts, you have nothing to worry about.

Install them and leave them in.

Was it a positive acceleration difference? I'm getting the upper insert and lower mount, are they easy to install on a 2001 2.4L Cavy?

I finally got my mounts but can't put them in because they didn't come with installation instructions. Where can I find some instructions?

I just installed an upper mount insert on my 95 2.2 and I noticed a bit more vibrations, not too bad just weird at first. the vibrations are alot worse when jsut idling at a stop light or something, once about like 3000rpm I didn't even notice a diff. I am gonna get the lower mount and tranny mounts next paycheck, then I'll let u all know what its like then.
P.S. I had to use a whole s*** load of dish soap to get the upper insert in btw. Oh adn I never removed my over flow coolant resevor either, I jsut loosened the bolt holding it down adn then flipped it up, all hoses fully attached adn still full too.
