welcome, im a newbie myself, not only to the site but to this side of the world. i find it so different to what im used to, the need for big engines, the govenors on the cavaliers. i had a 1.4 8v, 0-60 in 8secs, top speed of 130. but what i have seen i like.

you consider a 2.2-2.4 a big engine?
eh....ok.
greetings both of you.

2.2-2.4 is yes considered a big engine, we were running anything from 1.0 to 1.6 and getting say 100 hp in the 1.6 16v. so yeah for an everyday car a 2.2-2.4 is considered a big engined car.
check out the new 7.0L that coming in the new Corvette Z06... THAT is a big engine
the cav would be probably the biggest compact car over in europe....its huge compared to like a 206
if it was sold in europe then it would be pretty close. we do have some "bigger"engined cars such as the escort, renault clio, vauxhall astra, all being pretty light, and bhp to weight ratio being reasonable, there is some cars that would more than stand up to the cav, comaro, etc.
