Hi I'm Sean. i just got a 00 z24 and i want a cold air intake. which company do u guys think is the best. i was kinda leanin towards aem or injen but i wanted another opinion.
YES, AEM
I have one true love in my life...And my girlfriend sits next to me in it
make your own. it'll save you $. honestly, all an intake is is a tube with a filter on the end.
the differences in gains between different ones are so insignificant that it doesn't really matter.

SO EVERYTHING!
pay for a name or go get 1 that works just the same and spend the extra dough on something else.
Ebay has the Bom-z brand never heard any complaints from anyone, and it works great on my 96 Z. Cost $43.50 with shipping.

Hit 200 NA it broke once, Hit 213 it broke again,
Hitting 300 NA is further away than I thought.
I have the Weapon R Dragon intake, works great but I did pay $140 shipping included for it though
Get a cosmo racing intake, looks great and performs as well as any other intake. You can get them on ebay or off of there web site. Look at mine int he pic.

Yes officer I knew the speed limit was 50
I did have a brakcet break on my old intake which was a bomz intake, but cosmo is pretty much the same price and performs, sounds, and looks better.

Weapon R is designed crappy cuz my tube rubs on the positive of the battery
taking your girlfriend out $20, Shopping at Meijers $ ?? dollers,
watching Milf's Ass and getting punch in the jaw ... Priceless...
get a cheap one off ebay. their all the same and you wont notice a difference. why blow 200 bucks on an intake when you can get one for 30 on ebay and put the 170 towards something else
I can't wait for everones opinion to change once the cheap ebay intakes start to fall apart. buddy of mine got one and it lasted like one year and it stated to vibrate a lot and the screws/botls were breaking.
now he has had his AEM one for over 2 years and not one problem.....
hey while you are buying you intake on ebay, why not buy some dropzone coliovers their only $50 and save the $400 for some thing else, and you could also get the speed chip adds 20hp!!!!
I have one true love in my life...And my girlfriend sits next to me in it
I have an ingen! Works great i felt a hp or two kick in when i installed it.

www.rdfabs.com has EXECELENT INTAKES, and they are very nicely made, and they don't cost an arm and a leg...
every intake gives around 5-7 horse power and you wont notice it untill ur up in the higher rpms anyway so get what ever style you like and how much you pay is up 2 you

Intakes are a pipe and filter get over it, they are all equal dimensions and offer the same performance gains(providing the filter is good) AEM is a rip off why waste your money? I think my cosmo looks better than AEM anyways.

i got injen and it works great!!!!
what else can you tell me about your intake? I checked out the web page and I am quite interested in it. Most of the "name-brand" intakes I have seen tend to rub on the hood, or the battery, or something... Have you had any such problems? I was impressed that they showed an "in car" shot of their product.
just remember you get what u pay for
In some cases you do get what you pay for but realize that when you buy from a larger company you are paying for there advertising and other higher overhead costs, its not all in the production and part cost. AEM intakes can break too!! I have seen them rub the hood linear as well, my cosmo racing intake doesnt rub at all. Just because something is cheaper doesnt mean the quality is lower (though that can be the case sometimes).

That is a cliche and it also implies that you don't need to do any smart shopping and compare prices.
Like most people said, an intake is a piece of pipe and a filter. What separates a name brand intake from an ebay one? Length of pipe, smoothness, and filter are the same.
I have an Ebay one, had it for 1 year. Nothing wrong with it at all, doesn't rub on the hood and installation in easy.
