Wet sanding

Yes i am posting this in the newbie section because I just owned my car paint..

I bought the POS dupli color scratch remover because i have alot of scratches in my car...

Well I did every step, (bondo, primer, wetsand, paint black, clear coat, wetsand ) that the instructions says....

After wet sanding and apliying the poolish that came with the kit, my car looked like primer..

great, trying to remove a scratch so it can look better, and it looks worst....

does any body knows a guide to do this @!#$..

thanks

Did you use a tack cloth before the paint ??

I have never seen anything say wetsand after primer before paint, you should just user a brand new scuff pad, this will allow the paint to adhere to the primer. This is the way we did it @ the body shop.

Now you say it looks like primer:
Do you mean dull, or like an orange peal, or real ruff looking ?

Was this done with a spray can type setup or a real spray gun and compressor?

Hit 200 NA it broke once, Hit 213 it broke again,
Hitting 300 NA is further away than I thought.

I've always wetsanded primer before painting. It makes the primer nice and smooth... and helps clean off any residue that may be left over.

As far as the question goes... is it spray can paint/clear or actual automotive paint??

and the paint is dull

I bought this rubbing compound by 3M today... Its supposed to remove any 1500 grill or less scratches...

I used 600 (the one that came with the duplicolor kit)

The shop that is painting my car swears by this techniqe......They say that it helps make everything extra smooth and makes the paint look 10x better....and i,ve seen other cars first hand w/ this process done and without.....and there is a noticable difference......but thats really only on a side by side comparision
