Why did they cancel the 2.3 HO and replace it with a 2.4?
What was wrong with it?

the 2.3 HO had a lot of problems. head gaskets for one. so they fixed everything in the 2.3 and made the 2.4



Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!

normal people were buying a race engine and they were sitting in roush hour traffic so they were blowing the head and head gasket because they let the car overheat. Then some oldy guy bought the car thinking it was a caddy and that you don't hear anything inside nor in the engine bay. So they were not please because the Ho like to roar when you step on it hard.

In other words, just plain stupid people killed the Ho. People were thinking that it was like a 2.2. They tought that they could let it idle for hours without overheating. The engine is an Highway engine or an engine to beat the hell out of. Not let it sit for hours in the traffic with no air.
