Ok here's the deal, I plan to remove my CAI the next winter and put back the stock filter box there. I'm already getting nut about putting all that @#%? back in the hole and put all the screws to make it hold. I was wondering if I could put some sort of grid at the end of the tube and be ok with that. Will it work and be safe? I know that the winter is over but I want to make this while I have spare time.



by the tube I mean that part _____^

Or should I extend it so it will be more difficult for stuff to get in it??

Um... the filter is in that box so whatever "got in there" wouldn't make it past the filter. A lot of people run it open just fine.
