Just wondering if ne of you out there can give me some info on what replacing the resonator on my 2003 cavalier will do. Will it reduce back-pressure to much and cause a problem or just enough to see a minor power increase?
you wont get any power and it will make your car sound like a weed wacker

No power increase, just more raspy in its tone.

It could add 1hp or something depends on how restrictive you're exhaust is right now without it. Most of these guys just hate loud exhausts for some reason, I love them. I guess cops are tougher on people elsewhere than in Okla. City I had a 78' el camino with a 350 smallblock, it had exhaust cutt-outs right under the cab and I kept them open constantly. I never got in trouble, just don't stomp on the gas unless you need to and you should be fine. I don't mean to offend the guys that like the quite exhaust and the sleeper look thats cool with me. But i just prefer the loud flashy look. Just make sure your exhaust doesn't have that raspy high-pitched noise that makes your brain itch, because that sux!
