Just pop the back seat out. Pull up from the front of the seat and it should pop right out. If not then you must be doing something wrong. It's really simple, just some clips.

And you probably won't beat your friend. And get a full exhaust instead of the noise maker you have on. You'll notice a difference.

And don't use stock struts. They can't handle the drop and will probably go bye bye.

Good luck!!

1.7 in the front 2.3 in the rear

a good exhaust is custom. have a local exhaust s hop bend some pipe for you then a muffler of your choice. 2.25 is best for NA engines. also add a resonator. that will cut down on the raspiness of the exhaust

they have adjustable coilovers that gives you anywhere from 1.0 to 3.0 drop and handle very nicely!
i would suggest KYB struts they are awesome in handling the drop.
you can beat him if you put a little time and money into your ride.i have beaten a V6 mustang with my 2.4 lol

the KYB GR2 are just OEM replacements and not made for lowering. even the KYB AGX struts are only warrented for a 1.5 inch drop. if you decide to get coilovers, Koni yellows are the way to go

As for the drop- ditto what everyone else has said. If you want a really low drop, go with the coilovers- and read up on the struts you buy before you commit- they usually have some pita small print that tells you all the stuff you need to know about whether or not they will work for your application.

As for the GSR- with the mods you have right now, the answer is- not likely. He has 170 stock, and with that nifty programmable chip, he can tune the cam timing to maximize the mods, while without a similar setup, you are not getting the maximum potential out of your bolt-ons. It is possible with enough work and good tuning to tear that 1.8L out from under him, but the way it stands right now, I'm leaning in favor of him. By all means, though- run him at the track and post about it, so I can apologize when you kill him
