i've heard some modded "imports" that sounded pretty decent... you know why? cause they spent the money to get good, quality parts. anybody can get a cheap pos exhaust and slap it on, but it won't sound very good. a full exhaust will sound the best as long as it's done right. header, larger pipe, and a quality muffler. maybe throw a resonator in there and a high flow cat. then she'll purr.

One think I noticed though is that all Hondas make a very unique sound when you start them. I wonder if they do that on purpose.

I installed an AEM intake on my friends stock 96 civic. And it actually sounded decent, up until the higher rpms and it sounded like it was gonna blow up

I had an old muffler I had on my Cavalier in my garage that I put on my Civic soon after buying it for a winter car. Have had numerous compliments on the tone. Not even slightly bumblebee like. Flowmaster 2-chamber (yes, really) and 4-2-1 header for an exhaust. Love it.

Ive noticed hondas with engine work sound awesome...

My friend w/ the b18a in his civic- sounds like a farking jet taking off when he gets on it... There is absolutely no rasp in the exhaust- he has no resonator or cat...

I dont understand it, but down the races- I noticed alot of the hondas sounded that way... Very nice.
