Im new to posting around here so I have a question that im sure has been asked before. Does GM intend to keep making the cavalier along with the cobalt and aveo or is the cavi's death coming soon?

GM stopped making the cavalier quite some time ago. probably never to be made again.

Thats a shame, thats worse then when they stopped making the Z24 model, the Z's are great cars.

in the US it is called the LS Sport, in Canada it's still called the Z24. just has the 2.2l Ecotec in it rather than the 2.4l.

^^96+ zs has the 2.4 engine....they nixed the 2.4 engine in 02 and replaced it with the 2.2 eco, but in the US they called them LS Sports and in canada they kept the Z name. cannon was just talking about the last generation of Zs, not any previous years.

i was pointing that out because in previous years (with the exception of 1995 as you pointed out) one of the main differences between a Z24 and cheaper models was that the Z came with the more powerful 2.4l engine. then, when it was renamed (in the US) the LS Sport, it no longer had the 2.4l, instead it had the 2.2l Ecotec. chill.
