What size wheels for the daily driver?

I was wondering what size wheels would you guys recommend for someone who uses their car for daily travel. I drive to New York City every weekend from PA to work and for the most part the roads on the highway are smooth, until I hit New Jersey and New York. I don't want to crack brand new rims everytime I hit a pot hole going 65mph. Yeah they are avoidable, but sometimes you can't avoid the occassional pothole.

I wouldn't go bigger then 16s on stock Z24/GT size tires, but you might be able to get away with 17s

17's should be fine. 18's look absolutly great but watch out for bumps and pot holes.
19's look awesome but have allmost no sidewall cost alot and are too easily damaged

i'm planning on 17's that way i still have some side wall to help with impacts from bumps and pot holes.

Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.

yeah, im from pa too, like 10 mins from the bridge and the roads suck around here. i have 15's on my car and its lowered and i like the ride. i might get 16's in the future, maybe 17 but i wouldnt go bigger than that.

It's the car right?.....Chicks dig the car.

17s are good with the right tire for sure.

I daily drive my 18s, and even have smaller tires on them than I should, never had a problem driving here, and there are some big bumps holes, and i live on gravel about 2 miles out.

im running 15's on my cavy, they give me no trouble (of course not their friggin 15s). i wouldnt know what it was like to drive 18s. 17s arent bad, thats what i run on my GTO, but it has a much more advanced suspension system than the cavy, so i dont know what to tell you. i honestly wouldnt go higher than 17s on a daily driver

I have 18s on daily driver and within 500kms I bent a rim on the way to Florida in Michigan. I wouldn't recommend 18s on a daily driver.
