i hear many people talk about doing things to there engine "internals" what all in the engine is considerd an internal?
anything that is inside the engine. like the piston, rods, cams, valves, etc etc
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
crank, connecting rods, pistons i would consider internals.
cam ,pushrods, lifters, rocker arms, vavle srpings ,and vavles i would consider vavletrain opposed to internals, but if u want to get technical then yes.

Just what Borsty said. When people usually say that, they are probably talking about the Bottom end of the motor which consists of Pistons, Rods & Crank. The head consists of Valve springs, Valves, Retainers, Pushrods (if OHV), lifters (if OHV), rocker arms (if OHV) & cams (or 1 cam if OHV).
