Alright well I have a 97 2.2L 3sp Auto

I have a:
short ram intake w/ k&n filter
OBX header
Magnaflow highflow cat
and a 2.5 cat-back with a magnaflow muffler

What estimated #'s would you say I am at?

What cars do you think I could keep up with at the track?

As do you all think that would be a good plant for a like 55 wet shot or so?

The car has about 91k on it but runs good

Sad to say, you can keep up with SOHC Honda cars at the track. It's mainly your transmission making you run so slow. I've seen your car at the track before and they ran high 18s.

I have no idea what #s your putting to the wheel...its not good...

I would guess bout 120-125 probably less......at the crank. I wouldnt juice a motor that has almost 100,000 miles...just my opinion. I was within a carlength of a sentra spec v at the track....but then again I have a 5spd.

Had my garage broken into while I was at the beach, needless to say all the parts that were stolen would have been the down payment plus some extra $ but it is all gone now so I dont have the money.

And i am not too big on swapping out the engine, I was just curious with the parts that I have what I could do. I mean its a cavalier I drive almost daily and has yet to hit the track! I dont need a race car... yet....

But thanks for the input guys

If it would help you out at all, check out my profile for a list of what I had done. On the dyno I only put around 103 whp with 121 lbs/tq.

It really didn't hold it's own at the track because of the tranny, but when I use to cruise around the local circuit, it hung pretty well with cars.

Have a good one,
Justin
