I was wondering if anyone know a place (here in Québec) where there's a shop that sell RSM stuff, I found one : JRP, but the 62mm TB will cost me around 700$ (CAD)... I just want to know if someone here bought one and how much did it cost.. Thanks
I assume that price is Without core?
“Facts are meaningless. You could use facts to prove anything that’s even remotely true."
No exchange with my stock TB....
Its 488.75 after tax including core charge for the 62mm TB from RSM, obviously without shipping.
This seem to be a really high price the TB would cost me barely more than my CAI and my catback together
find a core to send in...

Yes officer I knew the speed limit was 50
Keep your eye on the classifieds, that's where I bought mine from. You can catch people who are selling items cause they want to go back to stock.

or just have yours bored out to 62 mm
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!

Yeah you can do that too but just make sure you go to a shop that knows what they are doing. If they bore too much where there is space between butterfly...than your screwed.

Still.
That's a tad pricey for a TB enlargement.
Machine shops that sparce up there in Canada?

Remember....syringes go in the RED waste basket.
Think I'll take a trip to the junkyard to see if they have an ecotec TB, I think I saw a cavy last time I've been there. If they sell me a reasonable price, I'll just have to find a machine shop... And I won't risk my own and only TB.
I live in Canada, do you have any idea where I can get one??? And for my TB, it can be bored to 62?? I was asking myself if it was possible, the only time I saw my TB size was when I installed my CAI, but at this time, I wasn't even thinking about that. A friend of mine recommend me a machine shop, I'll just have to call them to see. Thanks

When you see an RSM Racing 62 MM throttle body, all it is is an bored out stock throttle body with fitted butterly plate for the right diameter.
Just make sure that machine shop knows what they are doing and look at the TB when it's done to make sure you don't see any holes better the edge of the plate and inner wall of the TB.

just call rsm up, there in missasauga, and their price is around 300 cdn.
i just got a quote last week from them
yea that sounds better they told me at the Bash that they were about $270 US.
but like they all said if you do it your self or have a shop bore one out its very touchy ive done 2 of them and only the second worked. get a plate made first then have the shop bore to fit the plate. and bore it 1 mm off stock centerline AWAY from the IAC port. 62mm is all the bigger it can go to the walls will be pretty thin afterwards. my dimentions were 67mm opening, 62mm at the plate, and then 62 at the manifold opening. worked pretty well. the shops around here charge about $60 an hr and they said it would take abotu an hr to do.
I would keep watching the classifieds.....Thats what I did and I found a guy not far from me sellin the 62mm t/b.....Bought it for $95 and got to keep my stock t/b too!
Car is for Sale!Supercharger kit is for sale!
Honestly what does the bigger tb do? is it a noticeable amount of difference to invest in or not? It seems like an awful amount of money just for something that isnt too noticeable.

A bigger throttle body allows more airflow to come through the intake manifold. Gains are noticeable, I personally have a 62 MM and it helped with mid-range pull. The reason it seems like alot of money is because of the core your paying before hand. Look in the classifieds and purchase it that way.

What do you mean the core you are paying before hand? isnt core when you trade your old in? is it cheaper to get mine bored, or ported or whatever rather than bu the one on ebay or store?

The way it works for example is, say you want a product for $200 + $150 core charge. That means before hand you have to pay $350. If you send them the stock part after you recieve the purchased product, then they will send you the $150 back. If you don't send them back your stock part, then your just out $150.

I must call a shop where I asked them to get me the price for the rsm and some rksport motor mounts (upper and lower). I'll ask them if they accept the stock TB like you said, the shop where they told me it was around 700$ CAD, didn't take the stock core
Maybe they are just trying to make money with the customer....
^^^^ Sounds like somebody's trying to take you for a ride, my friend. Listen to these guys and find a place that'll give you a core credit for the stock one. Hell, just buy one direct from
RSM's website and put it on yourself. Save labor cost and everything.
I may not be the sharpest crayon in the box, but at least I'm a pretty color
I don't have a credit card annnnnnd I don't want one, make thing harder to do sometimes, but I prefer that. Directly from the website will not work for me. I'll just visit some more shop so I'll probably find a place where there's honest people...
I still say check with RSM, they might be willing to accept a money order. I hear ya on not wanting a credit card- the ONE card I have is turning out to be the frickin bane of my existance.
