Hey guys, I have a question. I have a stock air intake on my cav. I removed the resonator with the help of my friend. Also, I just bought an air hose that is straight to connect the air box with the throttle body. But, their is no hole for the IAT sensor, how big does the bit have to be to make that size hole or how do i make it? And I was wondering, if it would be better if i had a cone filter before i hook it to the air box, without the stock filter, or will that show a check engine light. Thanks for your help.

First off, the IAT Sensor is about the Diameter of a Nickel.
Second, a cone filter would be best but the stock filter will do.

But if i were to remove the stock air filter and put in the cone filter, will it show a check engine light?

yeah i took the stock air filter off and put on a cone filter and gained alot more speed it really helps....... but i still have the stock hose i dont know if it would help to get a intake metal pipng or no?????
Yes an intake pipe will help but it doesnt have to be metal, palstic will do well too, as long as its not white PVC piping.

One is for the IAT sensor the other is for the Valvecover. Stock wise a black hose comes off the valve cover and connects to you intake. If you closed or clogged it up, your engine could explode.

The little black hose going from the valve cover to the 2200 engine. That hose is supposed to connect to your intake pipe. But since you can One of the least effective pipe set-ups, you dont have to worry about it.

BTW, your intake is not on correctly. The Blue coupler is supposed to be Between the 2200 box and the Intake, Not connected to the tuner tube.

alright so the valve cover is the little black tube coming from the 2200 box right?
and i need to turn flip the blue coupler in the opposite direction?
i could use a quick reply here so i can go out and change it before it gets dark

okay, back to my problem, it is okay to hook up the plastic intake tube with a cone filter, that being hooked into the air box.
