Alright, so i've got some problems with some things....
1. the other day i replaced the stock side markers with clear ones, and had to replace the white bulb with a yellow bulb (for my turn signals)
A. now the left side turn signal (on my gauge) light stays on, and when i turn the
turn signal on it flickers real fast. The right side is fine, only the left one has
problems.
that was problem number one. now heres the pain in the ass part.
2. tonight i put in my new white gauge cover, and me being a real dipsh!t i am sometimes, took the tachs off when i didnt have to.
B. now my MPH gauge doesnt work right. (we kinda fixed the other ones)
C. not only the MPH but now the gauge display for my mileage doesnt work, and
my dad was super pissed when he found out about that.
so, i'm relying on you guys and gals to help me out.

When a bulb is burnt out in the flashing lights system, it will result in a flasher that will stay open without flashing or it will flash faster than normal. I know that cause I failed an exam because I didn't knew that
Oh I forgot to mention it can be any flashers on the car, if a rear one is burnt the front one can be f***** up
i take it for the second problem you meant you took the needles off. well sad to say but most likely you'll have to get a new cluster.

yeah thats what i meant....its late.
and yeah i figured thats what it would come down to..just thought maybe i could adjust the needles, cause my rpm, engine heat, and i think fuel needles work.
i think the fuel one works, but i wont be able to tell until after a few days.
but do you think its possible just to keep tinkering with the needles until it works? and what about the digital mileage not working? i dont really know if that can be fixed.
somebody help me out

it's gonna be hard with the speedometer. if you do get it working then you have to try and get it to read right too.
with the odometer, is it showing anythign or just blank? have you checked the connections on the back. the 98-99 odometers had bad luck with the connections to begin with.

no i didnt check them
the speedometer works, just doesnt read the right speed, like i was punched to the floor on a road, and it said i was going 60.
but yes, the odometer is blank......so i'll check the connections again.....
i also forgot to mention, my brake light stays on too.
any ideas on that?

For your speedometer, all I can say is look for a new cluster, cause it's pretty much hopeless. I did that with my last car, tinkered with it, lined it up just the way it came off and still nothin. but that car sucked anyways.
what year is your car?? i have a cluster w/ tach thats like new that i would possibly sell. let me know soon though i also have anothe buyer. the cluster is from an 00-up.
honda's are like tampons.......
EVERY PU$$Y'S GOT ONE!!!!!
where is the milage stored in the 99 fires, i may be able to get you a cluster but if its a digital odometer and the milage is stored in the gauge cluster then your screwed on the odometer

i dont think its stored in the cluster, that doesnt make much sense if it does.
but it would be really cool if you found a cheap replacement for me. thanks

as for ur brake light staying on, i would say the sensor must be fuggd up, either broken or just not connected right or something.
No digital odometers are stored in the cluster. The computer holds all that info so that no one can mess with it. Whatever cluster you put in, it will read correctly.
Which brake light is staying on? The parking brake light on your cluster, or the rear bulbs?

oh yea, I would think the dealer could fix your needles? I've never messed with a cluster though, so I wouldn't know how crazy it is in there.

WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the 98-99 clusters with the digital odometer have the mileage stored in the cluster itself. so if you have to change clusters, the new cluster will show the mileage of the vehicle it was originally in. you would need to go to a dealer to get it reflash with the correct mileage.

wow are you for real? I used to have a 99. I can't believe someone would design it like that. So basically rolling back your odometer is as easy as a cluster swap?

yup for real! remember we're talking about GM here. they got their heads on straight in 00.
as for rolling back the odometer, i guess as long as you find one that has lesser miles then you. just remember thats odometer fraud.

yeah that would be great until you got caught because its on the papers how much mileage you had
but anywho its the BRAKE light on the gauge that stays on, the light that comes on when you use your ebrake.

Cool, thanks for correcting me. And I wasn't recommending any kind of odometer tampering! I'm glad they've taken steps to make it hard to mess with.
Hrothgar -- Thats really weird your ebrake light stays on. I mean the only thing you can do is engage and disengage it to try to get it to turn off? Is it keeping your Daytime running lights turned off?

This is one of the many reasons why white face gauges are a waste of time and money. Some really great cars never had white face gauges
well thanks for tellin me now........lol they look tits though.
i fixed the turn signals
ebrake light is still a problem
tonight i put in Nokya Stage II arctic whites, and they suck, they're not bright at all, but i think they need to be aimed because they just really suck, and i dont know why else they would. they're supposed to be bright as hell
