i want to get a flowmaster series 40 muffler. i went onto their website and tried to find one to fit my 2000 cavy but all of them said like 1984-1996. can somebody tell me the model # that will fit on my car? thanks
Also Victor, mufflers aren't going to be car or motor specific. It's pretty much an universal part that can pretty much modified to fit any vehicle. The way you know if you want it or not is by the inlet and outlet size. Most 3rd gens I believe have 2" piping, so you would want a 2 1/4" inlet muffler.

And I purchased the 40 Series Mufflers 2.25 O/C 42441 but I also needed an adapter between my pipe and muffler and i purchased that from Autozone.
Please others offer what size he will need because I don't remember off hand, for the adapter. thanks ?

Update I Used 42441 but again mostly some mufflers are all universal but they should look similar like the picture below if these are the stock/oval looking ones shaped.
