Hey might be a stupid question but i know that 95-99 cavalier taillights will fit into a 00 cavalier (because ive done it), but i was wondering if anyone knew whether the headlights are backward compatible as well. If not, does anyone know where i can get some projector headlights for a 2000 cavalier, because i have only been able to find them for older models (95-99).
the headlights will bolt onto a 00+ but you have a GAP between the bumper and the headlight ...its the bumpers that make the problem..the 00+ will not fit on a 95-99 cus there is a raises lip on the bumper to cover the gap...if you want the projector headlights that your seeing youll have to change the bumper as well or modify your existing one...or find ones MADE for a 00+
yes the 00-02 lights will fit a 95-99 bumper. to do so you would need to trim the front bumper down under the headlights and get a new corner bracker for the 00-02 corner lights. as for projectors, you can get them for the 00-02, but its gonna run you about 350. custom stuff isnt cheap. if you want them, talk to whiteboy

they are custom made. go into the exterior forum and look for the post on custom projector headlights by WhiteBoy. he makes them. IZNTRIBAL also makes custom projectors too, but not sure if he's done 00-02 cavi ones yet. just realize it's gonna cost you like $800 because they are custom made and not mass produced.

yes. the 95-99 headlights use two separate single filament bulbs, one for high (9005) and one for low (9006) beam. The 00+ headlights use one dual filament bulb per headlight. I can't remember that number off the top of my head because... I have a 95 and I prefer the 95 headlights better anyways.
