I've been noticing something lately, every time I click on a thread, it takes a long time to load.
I've been looking at people's signatures, and there are some HUGE ones.
My suggestion is:
Regulate the size of the sigs. Another board I am at has thier rules set to, 300 by 400 pixels, and no bigger than 20 k.
I say this because, those excessively huge sigs make the page take longer to load. I am on a DSL running at ~250k or so, just imagine what the 56k people are experiencing. I feel sorry for 'em.
I bet more people on a dial-up connection would post more if the pages didn't take so long to load.

there is a limit on sigs
500x200 and no more than 80k
give the mods a break, its a part time job and they cant catch everything right away
if/when they notice a sig is too large they will do someting about it
Yes there is a Limit on sigs Heck I was on Dial up back when there wan't limits on the sigs.
There is a Contact Us button on the bar to the bottom left. That is how you get ahold of the Mods/ Admin
Plenty of people post on this site Dial up or not.

Yes, I'm a newb.
I post on a 56k connection during the week because I have 2 different houses, and it was really bad for me. I didnt realize the sigs had a limit, because some were HUGE when I saw them.
I'm not harassing them, just making a suggestion.

I'm on d-u as well, but fortunately, most people don't change sigs as often as they change their underwear, so the sigs stay cached. Easy load time. Img Manip forum on the other hand, I click a thread then go and enjoy a cup of coffee during that load time.
for future reference:
http://www.j-body.org/forums/rules.php (a button to the forum rules can be found on every page along the blue row of buttons either at the top of the forum, top of the thread or right above the reply box).
also, if you need to get ahold of us (moderators or Dave), please use the contact us button on the left side of the screen at the bottom of the menu.
i would check your comp, i'm on a similar connection and it loads incredibly fast (including big pictures in that forum). Do the mods get paid a wage to be on here regulating??
