do they sell 2.2 crate motors? or is there a specific salvage yard for our cars somewhere? i used to go to high preformance salvage that only stocked wrecked camaros, trans ams, and corvettes.
the reason i ask is i bought this car with 82,300 miles and am wondering how long i should expect it to last.
red 99 coupe.... no rust and it runs.
If you're looking places to get any motor, you can go through
www.car-parts.com and do an extensive search for in your area of local junkyards that might have the motor.
Now, your 2.2 OHV should last a good while...atleast till 95-100,000 miles but it ultimately depend on how the motor was taken car of before hand. Try and find out as much info as you can about the previous owners.

I have a 2.4 in my Z24 and have 150,000 miles on it. Alot is highway of course but with regular oil changes and maintenance on it I expect it to last well over 200,000. They are very good motors, same with the 2.2. (I had one of those as well.)
i'm about to hit 140k on my 1999 with the 2200 in it. running great. did have to replace the head gasket though this last spring (at the time i had like 125k miles on it).
