Well I liked my clear knobs on my 99 cav, so I made them on my new car (05 sunfire)... they are too bright and don't match the red. I went to the dealer today to get a new set, they wanted $16 PER KNOB! I thought that was excessive so I'm coming to JBO to ask two things. What is the part number on GM parts direct, and what kind of transparent paint is preferred for these (and what brand).
p.s. - i'm not a newb, but this is a newb question, and embarrassing at that.
thx

go to the wreckers, jack a whole bunch of them
and then paint to your hearts content

^^^ agreed. Just go to a junk yard and throw some into your pockets. That's where and how I got mine.
Always, always go to the junk yard first for oem parts, you'll get them much cheaper or in this case for free.

I don't even know where a junkyard is around here.

search
yellowpages.com for example
Ok instead of getting new I'm going to either paint the underside or buy a sharpie for it (red). I checked home depot his morning but found no stained glass paint.

don't use a sharpie. looks cheesy.
just go to krylon's website. look up their stained glass paint and there should be somewhere right on the page that will link you to everywhere it's available.
